These guys are awesome. Everything I want in a business:

  • green
  • family-owned
  • community-supporting
  • love their dogs
The prices are fair. The place is neat and convenient. Fabulous. They also support local organizations, including supporting families who've lost their homes in foreclosure.

Locally owned and not a chain, these guys are great. They take care of their customers, are super friendly and accommodating, and really give back to the community by supporting local organizations, etc. We rented a unit to help with the transition between our old apartment and a new condo down the street, and found Shirlington Self Storage super convenient. When the time came to take things out of storage, our movers could pull right up to their loading dock and unload our unit using their freight elevator. We were also able to rent a U-Haul to help get stuff in and out of the unit and they have some guys who are willing to take on extra work after hours moving stuff for smaller runs. They greet you with a smile, remember you by name, and chat you up making you feel like an actual customer, not just an account.
